IADC – What it stands for
The International Airport
Development Company Limited (IADC) is a
wholly-owned government limited liability company,
which was incorporated on 24th November, 2004
under the Companies Act of 1994.The IADC is set up primarily to arrange the
effective management of the completion of the
international airport, and to secure its financing
and construction at Argyle.
The company is governed by
an 11 member Board of Directors and is managed by
a group of professionals headed by CEO Dr. Rudolph
Matthias.
The company’s mandate is
to see the completion of the international airport
at Argyle by the end of December 2011 and to begin
training a cadre of people who would eventually
manage the airport on its completion.
The workers at the site
are grouped under an umbrella called the
Chatoyer-Che contingent, made up of Cuban and
Vincentian workers.
They are located on site
at Argyle, which makes for easier management and
supervision of all works.
