IADC – What it stands for

The International Airport Development Company Limited (IADC) is a wholly-owned government limited liability company, which was incorporated on 24th November, 2004 under the Companies Act of 1994.  The IADC is set up primarily to arrange the effective management of the completion of the international airport, and to secure its financing and construction at Argyle.

The company is governed by an 11 member Board of Directors and is managed by a group of professionals headed by CEO Dr. Rudolph Matthias.

The company’s mandate is to see the completion of the international airport at Argyle by the end of December 2011 and to begin training a cadre of people who would eventually manage the airport on its completion.

The workers at the site are grouped under an umbrella called the Chatoyer-Che contingent, made up of Cuban and Vincentian workers.

They are located on site at Argyle, which makes for easier management and supervision of all works.
