Interesting Facts

• The Constitution of St. Vincent and the Grenadines does not permit the casting of absentee ballots. Nor does it permit voting by proxy.

• St. Vincent and the Grenadines is divided into 15 polling districts or constituencies.

• Parliament is made up of 15 elected officials (1 for each constituency); 6 Senators who are nominated by the Prime Minister and/or the Leader of the Opposition and appointed by the Governor General.

• Elections are constitutionally due every 5 years in St. Vincent and the Grenadines.
